As a licensed plumber, fixing leaking taps are my bread and butter. I have fixed thousands of them over the years and can quickly diagnose whatever is causing the leak and provide a cost-effective way to fix it.

From 7am to 5pm weekdays I don't charge a callout fee. I can visit your premises to give a free quote and generally do the job right there if you are happy. If your leaking tap is an urgent emergency, myself and team do provide an afterhours service, however there is a small callout fee.

What causes a tap to leak or drip?

A dripping or leaking tap generally comes down to 3 main things. I will check and fix these for you as part of my standardised tap plumbing service when I visit.

Tap washers

More often than not leaking taps are caused by washer issues. Either the washer is worn out or broken, it's the wrong size, or it was installed incorrectly.

Cracked seats

The seat is where the tap washer sits and can become cracked over time from a long-term neglected broken washer. I can usually just quickly resurface this for you.

Tap O-rings

O-rings create a seal to keep water flowing where it's supposed to. Over time they can wear out, crack and disintegrate, thus causing water to come out the tap handles.
