Same name, but back with the main Jim's Group
I am the first franchisee for Queensland since Jim's Plumbing was returned to the main Jim's Group in late 2023. In the video above Jim Penman speaks about what happened, why the plumbing sector was bought home, and the steps in place to make sure all future Jim's Plumbing customers always receive a quality service at a quality price.
My thoughts on the Jim's Group franchisee system
I am a big fan of the traditional Jim's franchising model - that's why I decided to become a franchisee. I like how head office supports my business while I focus all my efforts into what I do best - plumbing! I feel bringing the group back to the traditional franchisee model delivers a lot more value to both myself the franchisee, and most importantly to my customers.
Up until late 2023 the Jim's Plumbing name was being licensed to an independent contractor. This arrangement was unusual for the Jim's Group, as all of us plumbers worked for the licensee rather than as a franchise owner like every other Jim's division. Some things happened and ultimately Jim Penman wanted to bring to bring the plumbing sector back home. When I found out about this I jumped at the opportunity to run my own franchise here from Chermside and the rest is history.
